In-Home Senior Care That Feels Like Family

Dina Jenney of A Place at Home is truly a miracle. I don’t know where I would be or where my mother would be without her! Dina’s care, concern, compassion, follow-through and reliability are so high that I want to give this review 10 stars! Or 100 or a million stars! Trying to help my mother who has dementia has been one of the most challenging efforts for me but Dina has always been there for me every step of the way since I reached out to her for my Mom’s care. She goes over and above! My understanding of dementia and the level of care she truly needed was not very good and Dina (with compassion, care, and heart) educated me. She is helping me as much as she is helping my Mom. Now my mother is in a memory care community that I absolutely love and appreciate deeply.

We needed a home care service for my brother-in-law when he left rehab. A place at home was recommended by Care One. The owner Jessica worked with us to find the right fit for my brother-in-law. We first started with 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. Then we needed to add an overnight aide, Jessica arranged that within a day or two. As my brother-in-law was deteriorating, I needed 24 hour care for him, again Jessica arranged it within a day. All the care givers were wonderful with him and he liked them all. When they would leave to go home, he would ask are you coming back tomorrow and they would tell him what day they were coming back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A PLACE AT HOME… Here’s why: I came across A Place At Home when I desperately needed a home health aide for my mother who lives in NJ. It was a Friday afternoon, and the home health aide I thought was starting on Monday fell through. I was in a total panic. Enter: Jessica and A Place At Home… Jessica took the time to listen to what I needed for my mom, which included someone who could work a schedule that’s a bit unusual. Jessica said she would have someone there on Monday… and she did. Due to changing schedules, we have worked with several different aides, and each one of them was wonderful. Recently, I thought I was going to need live-in help at the last minute, and Jessica and Arlene came to the rescue again. Although I did not end up needing the live-in help, it means the world to me to know that A Place At Home, and Jessica and Arlene are ready, willing and able to help.
